Hi Everyone,

We have an important testnet update and a look ahead at our next major milestone.

First, the **Hoodi testnet will be upgraded in the coming days** , potentially as soon as tomorrow. This upgrade is a necessary step forward as we prepare for our next protocol evolution.

Once Hoodi is running smoothly, we will move forward with a mainnet upgrade proposal to introduce **Shasta**. This mainnet DAO proposal is currently targeted for approximately **two weeks** after Hoodi is stable.

Shasta represents a significant step forward in Taiko’s progressive decentralization roadmap, bringing us closer to our Stage 1 goals.

For a deeper look at what Shasta entails and how it fits into our journey toward Stage 1, please read our latest update:

Stay tuned to this forum (DAO Proposals) and our official channels for updates on the Hoodi upgrade and the upcoming governance proposal.

The journey continues.
